In a previous tutorial I mentioned the way to uninstall the default apps in Windows 10, 8.1 or 8. Keep in mind that when you uninstall an app from Windows 10 or 8, in fact you un-register the app from the user(s). This means that you make the app unavailable to the user(s), but all the installation files of this app, are still remain on your computer and you can use them at in any time, if you want to reinstall the app on the future.

In this tutorial I 'll show to you how you can reinstall (re-register) a particular default app, or all the default preinstalled (provisioned) apps on your Windows 10, 8 & 8.1 OS.
How to Re-install The Default Built in apps in Windows 10, 8.1 & 8 OS.
Note: If you have completely removed a default built in app and its installation files by following the PART C in this tutorial, then the only way to reinstall the removed app, is to download it from the Microsoft Windows Store or to perform a Windows repair upgrade.
1. To reinstall (re-register) apps in Windows 10 & 8 OS, first open PowerShell with administrator rights. To do that:
1. At Cortana's search box, type powershell
2. Right click on Windows PowerShell result and select Run as administrator.
To reinstall All the default apps, give the following command and after the command execution, restart your PC :
- Get-AppxPackage -allusers | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register '$($_.InstallLocation)appxmanifest.xml' -DisableDevelopmentMode}
To reinstall a Particular app to the Current user, follow the instructions below:
1. Give this command to get a a list of all available installed packages:
- Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Select Name, PackageFullName
2. Replace the 'PackageFullName' value at the following command, with the 'PackageFullName' of the app that you want to reinstall:
- Add-AppxPackage -register 'C:Program FilesWindowsAppsPackageFullNameappxmanifest.xml' -DisableDevelopmentMode
e.g. The command to reinstall Maps, is:
Add-AppxPackage -register 'C:Program FilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.WindowsMaps_4.1601.10150.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbweappxmanifest.xml' –DisableDevelopmentMode

In Android's settings > apps > Firefox menu, there should be an option for storage. In there you can clear the app's storage which should reset Firefox to factory settings.
That said, if I understand correctly, it sounds like the photos app is opening when you try to download an image. Would you be able to provide a bit more information on what's happening?
