1. To reinstall (re-register) apps in Windows 10 & 8 OS, first open PowerShell with administrator rights. To do that:

1. At Cortana's search box, type powershell

2. Right click on Windows PowerShell result and select Run as administrator.

To reinstall All the default apps, give the following command and after the command execution, restart your PC :

• Get-AppxPackage -allusers | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register '$($_.InstallLocation)appxmanifest.xml' -DisableDevelopmentMode}

To reinstall a Particular app to the Current user, follow the instructions below:

1. Give this command to get a a list of all available installed packages:

• Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Select Name, PackageFullName

2. Replace the 'PackageFullName' value at the following command, with the 'PackageFullName' of the app that you want to reinstall:

• Add-AppxPackage -register 'C:Program FilesWindowsAppsPackageFullNameappxmanifest.xml' -DisableDevelopmentMode

e.g. The command to reinstall Maps, is:

Add-AppxPackage -register 'C:Program FilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.WindowsMaps_4.1601.10150.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbweappxmanifest.xml' –DisableDevelopmentMode

In Android's settings > apps > Firefox menu, there should be an option for storage. In there you can clear the app's storage which should reset Firefox to factory settings.

That said, if I understand correctly, it sounds like the photos app is opening when you try to download an image. Would you be able to provide a bit more information on what's happening?
